In Notre Dame High School every year, we have a show in the summer and a pantomime at Christmas. The producer and person who makes it possible to do these every year is Mr Watt, one of the assistant heads. He organises, arranges and does pretty much all the preparation for them. The shows are performed by first to sixth year pupils but the pantomimes only by first to third year pupils. The very first show was Fiddler On the Roof in 1974, but we did not start the pantomimes until 1991. Notre Dame was the first Greenock school to do a show and as the years went on more schools started to do them. In the early shows some of our current teachers starred in them such as Mr & Mrs Smith and Mrs Hart. We have produced 22 shows and 9 pantomimes so far, all of which have been very successful.
